2022 “A Night in Vegas”

2010 “A Southern Showcase”

• The Georgia Bridgemen participated in the Southern Showcase at Dothan, Alabama. the band won Best in Class Drum Major, Color Guard, and Band and was Grand Champion.
• At the Ocala Marching Festival the Georgia Bridgemen won Best in Class for Color Guard, Dance Line, Percussion, and Band. The band had highest scores for Music, and for Visual Effect and was named Grand Champion.
• The Georgia Bridgemen marched in the 6ABC/IKEA Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
• Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, Concert Band and Jazz Band all received Superior Ratings at the GBA Concert Band Festival in Bainbridge, GA

2009 “Thirty Years of Building the Bridge”

• The Georgia Bridgemen participated in the Lake Lanier Tournament of Bands in Gainesville, GA. The Bridgemen received Superior ratings in all captions and were named Best in Class Band, Best in Class Percussion and were honored to win the “Gene Shadburn Salute to Marching Band Award,” which was given to the highest scoring band in all captions regardless of class.
• The Bridgemen also participated in the Southern Showcase Marching Contest in Dothan, AL. The Bridgemen received Superior ratings in all captions and was the highest scoring band at the contest.
• The LHS Jazz Ensemble placed third in competition against jazz bands and jazz choirs from across the nation at the Disney Jazz Celebration.
• Our students won Best Brass, received straight superior ratings, and won the Bronze Trophy (3rd place of all competing groups regardless of classification or musical genre).
• The Wind Symphony and Symphonic Bands also participated in the Georgia Bandmaster’s Association Concert Band Festival in Bainbridge, GA. Both bands received Superior ratings.

2008 “Smooth Criminal”

• The Georgia Bridgemen competed in both concert and marching contests at the Smoky Mountain Music Festival in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Symphonic Band won first place in their division, while the 9th Grade Band, Wind Ensemble, and Jazz Band all placed second. The rains broke Saturday morning long enough for a short parade. The Georgia Bridgemen woke up Gatlinburg with “Jailhouse Rock” and won first place for large bands and the top auxiliaries award.

2007

• The Georgia Bridgemen won all captions, Best in Class Band, and the Mayors’ Trophy for highest score among all bands at the A-Town Invitational Band Competition in Andalusia, Alabama, October 6, 2008.

2006 “Seasons”

• The Georgia Bridgemen marched in the 117th Annual Tournament of Roses Parade. Also, the band was brought to the start of the parade to perform for the opening of the NBC broadcast, and at the special invitation of Tournament of Roses Parade President Libby Wright, the LHS Jazz Band performed for the Tournament of Roses Parade Executive Committee and Grand Marshall Sandra Day O’Connor, United States Supreme Court Justice.
• Grand Champions – Bowdon Invitational Marching Competition, Bowdon, GA
• Best In Class Band – Heart of Georgia Marching Competition, Warner-Robins, GA
• Host Band – Second Annual “Battle on the Border” Marching Competition, Exhibition Band, Valdosta, GA
• Performed in the “McDonalds Thanksgiving Day Parade”, Chicago, IL
• Performed in the Walt Disney World Christmas Parade that aired world-wide on Christmas morning on ABC Television. (The only band to be televised in this parade.)

2005

• Performed in The 55th Presidential Inaugural Parade, Washington, DC
• First Runner-Up – Gulf Coast Invitational Marching Band Competition, Panama City, FL
• Host Band – First Annual “Battle on the Border” Marching Competition, Exhibition Band, Valdosta, GA

2004 “Love Songs for Ladies”

• With straight superiors, the Lowndes High Georgia Bridgemen were Best in Class and overall Grand Champions at the Worth County Invitational Marching Competition.
• Grand Champion – National Peanut Festival Marching Competition, Ashford, AL
• Performed for a live, state-wide audience in half-time performances at the State AAAAA Football semi-finals from the Georgia Dome and in the State Championship game at Parkview High.

2003 Stevie Wonder Show

• Jazz Band performs for Governor Sonny Perdue – Whitehead Auditorium, VSU
• Exhibition Band – Tarpon Springs Marching Competition, Tarpon Springs, FL
• First Runner-Up – Isles of Eight Marching Band Competition, Fernandina Beach, FL
• Performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade – New York City, New York

2002

• Marching Band Grand Champion – National Peanut Festival Marching Competition, Ashford, AL
• Grand Champion – Seaside Invitational Marching Competition, Jacksonville, FL
• Performed for Jacksonville Jaguars Halftime performance, Jacksonville, FL
• Jazz Band Superior Rating – Festival of Champions, Panama City Beach, FL

2001 Latin Show

• Marching Band Best Band in Class – Phenix Invitational Marching Festival, Phenix City, AL
• Grand Champion – Seaside Invitational Marching Band Festival, Jacksonville, FL
• Performed in the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade, Washington D. C.
• Jazz Band – First Place Daytona Beach Music Festival, Daytona Beach, FL

2000 Earth, Wind, and Fire Show

• Marching Band Grand Champion – Largo Golden Invitational Marching Competition, Largo, FL
• Grand Champion – National Peanut Festival Marching Competition, Ashford, AL
• Performed in the Jingle Elf’s Marshall Field’s Christmas Parade in Chicago, IL

1999 “MacArthur Park”

• Marching Band 3rd Place – Okefenokee Sound of Gold Marching Competition, Waycross, GA
• Exhibition Band – Southern Open Band Competition, Valdosta, GA
