Parents…WE NEED YOU!!! It takes a lot of people to make our band successful. Some people have a lot of time to volunteer as a band parent, and other people have only a little time to spare. Either way, there is a spot for you with the band boosters. We would love to hear from you and get you plugged in. You are sure to meet some wonderful people and enjoy the time you spend helping this great organization.
Band Camp 2024 Volunteers
The Band is very dependent on volunteers to take care of our 375+ awesome kids. This starts long before the first football game.
1) During band camp, parent volunteers serve tens of thousands of cups of water to our kids in the intense heat of the summer. We need many volunteers in the mornings and a few volunteers in the afternoons. Some people can work mornings all week, some can work all day on just a few days. You just tell us when you are available. Any help you can give is appreciated.
2) We also need volunteers to serve meals during lunch and dinner breaks.
3) Once school starts, we need help serving water during after-school practices.
We need YOU! We can work around your schedule.

Adult Volunteer Procedures

The Lowndes County School System provides the mandatory forms and requirements for adults volunteering with the schools. This includes everyone that works with our band in any capacity. The only exception are those parents who are employed full time by the Lowndes County School System. All chaperones, drivers, nurses, uniform volunteers, etc. must complete the three forms and view a slideshow presentation. All forms must be turned in to the BOOSTERS (not LHS or Board of Education Office). You can turn in your paperwork at the next Booster meeting, or directly to a Booster Officer or Chair.
Chaperone Guidelines
Chaperones are essential for the safe transport of our students when we travel and on Friday nights in our stadium at home. For the safe and efficient operation of the band, all chaperones must adhere to the Band Chaperone Guidelines.
