Once again this year we are excited to announce that the Georgia Bridgemen will be participating in the Valdosta Christmas Parade and the Hahira Christmas Parade. Please take a look at the following schedules for the parades.
Valdosta Christmas Parade – Saturday, December 2nd
3:00 – Band Room Opens
3:30 – Report to Cafe fully dressed, horns in hand (no cases). Dress will be full uniform for all winds and percussion. You will need to come to the band room to get your jacket and hats. Auxiliaries will wear Wind Suits and use poms. Tubas and Drums will be loaded on gooseneck.
3:45 – Depart for Parade. Everyone must ride the bus to and from the parade.
5:00 – Parade Begins. I will send a Remind text and post to Facebook towards the conclusion of the parade for pick up times back at the high school. Parents, please park on the west side of the parade route for easy access back to LHS.
Hahira Christmas Parade – Saturday, December 9th
Everything will be the same dress as for the Valdosta Parade. If you live in Hahira and plan on meeting us at the parade, you need to meet us at the old video store (may still be a video store) at 5:15pm. You need to make sure you get your instrument on Friday after school. We will have your jacket and hat loaded on the gooseneck. If you are not returning to LHS you will need to turn in your jacket and hat at the conclusion of the parade. If you are meeting us at the parade you will need to come by the band room by Friday, December 1st and let Mr. Bowman know.
4:00 – Band Room Opens
4:30 – Report to Cafe Fully Dressed
4:45 – Depart for the Parade
6:00 – Parade Begins
6:30 – Depart for LHS
6:50 – Arrive at LHS for parent pick up
Instrument Check-In – Monday, December 11th
3:00pm – If you are not in a band class and play a school owned instrument, you will need to come by the band room after school Monday, December 11th, to check in your instrument. You will also need to have your locker cleaned out and your lock off your locker. Anything left in the lockers will be removed Tuesday morning.
